Refurbishments/post-war refurbishments will not exhibit a polished feed ramp as this was not deemed necessary. Over the years the polished feed ramp will take on a brass/gold hue due to brass jacketed projectiles riding its way into the barrel, so some tend to skim over it not realizing it’s polished. With this being said also look to ensure that the feed ramp on the frame is also in-the-white as they were polished after parkerization. you lose the crispness to each rollmark). Refurbishment after refurbishment made every rollmark, proof mark & serial number appear more dull as the years went on as they were merely “finished” in the same manner (being refinished so many times fills in these rollmarks, etc. To piggy back off of this your firing proofs, inspection proof & Ordnance Department inspection proof should also exhibit the same attributes as they were stamped/rollmarked after being parkerized. There is a "HS" on the barrel as well as a "P" I do not believe the magazine is original as it is marked with an "L" The cartouche is there on the right hand rear on the frame.
